  1. Sign in, open My account → API keys & MCP, and create a named key. Choose read-only access to explore, or editor access to make changes.
  2. Copy the key once. Save it as TRIMOKLIP_API_KEY in your client’s private environment or secret store. Keep it out of shared configuration and source control.
  3. Add the configuration below. Restart or reload your client, then ask it to list your Trimoklip projects.

With editor access, your agent can assemble clips, run ExactMatch, generate subtitles and prepare exports. Open the App to review the result.

Your footage stays yours.

Every key is restricted to your account’s workspace. Keys expire after 1, 7 or 30 days and can be revoked at any time. Password changes and account suspension invalidate them. Signing out leaves your new API keys active.

Premium is required to use the MCP tools. Read-only access can browse, search and download existing files; editor access also allows modifying and deleting projects and edits.

This is the Trimoklip video editing MCP. It does not give access to Drupal administration or billing.

Connection not working?

401: Check the key, its expiry and your client’s environment. 402: Check your subscription. 403: The key may be read-only, or your client’s Origin header is not allowed. Use an editor key for changes.

Use Streamable HTTP at https://app.trimoklip.com/api/mcp/. Older clients can use SSE at https://app.trimoklip.com/api/mcp/sse. Both require Authorization: Bearer <API_KEY>. OAuth-only clients are not supported. Never put your key in the URL.
